~ ~ Tone the body and lighten the soul by learning Poi! ~ ~

Imagine entering a space of complete equanimity and flow.  Some call this samadhi or bliss.  Take it a step further and add poi.  Now you have an explosion of radiance and an opportunity to share this stunning and beautiful art form. 

Learn to spin poi so that you can tap into your creative nature and express your inner dynamics.  Spinning poi is a great way to tone muscles and strengthen the cardiovascular system.  It gives you stamina and a lovely creative outlet.

ABOUT CLASS SESSIONS
Session One curriculum includes learning poi moves such as the butterfly, Mexican wave, alternate butterfly, turns and reels. Each class opens with tuning-in, warm-ups and continues with a core lesson and cool-down.  Students are educated on fire safety during the first class. 

Advanced classes are also offered.  Students continue with learning move such as the weave and buzz-saw.  Each session reminds students to focus on "spin planes".  Spin planes are the area in which the poi apparatus covers while completing one full rotation.  Most of all, we focus on having fun.
